|             IMAGINE Imagine there's no heaven,it's easy if you try,
 No hell below us,
 above us only sky,
 Imagine all the people,
 living for today.

 Imagine there's no countries,
 it isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
 and no religion too,
 Imagine all the people,
 living life in peace.

You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one,
I hope someday you'll join us,
and the world will be as one.

 Imagine no possessions,
 I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
 a brotherhood of man,
 Imagine all the people,
 sharing all the world.

You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one,
I hope someday you'll join us,
and the world will live as one.

John Lennon9. Oktober 1940   -   8. Dezember 1980

I'm not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I've always been a freak. So I've been a freak all my life and I have to live with that. I'm one of those people. John Lennon (09.10.40 - 08.12.80)

Let me take you down 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields...where nothing is real....   it's our responsibility what happens around the world. It's our responsibility for Vietnam, and all the other wars that we don't quite hear about. It's all our responsibility,
I believe that as soon as people want
peace in the world they can have it.
The only trouble is they are not aware
 they can get it.

 (John Lennon 1969)
 -----------------------------------------------------------
and when we all want peace we'll get it.
People have said we're naive for trying to sell peace like a car, or bar of soap.
But I ask ya, is the Ford company naive...
 or the soap powder company?

They're selling the same old soap that's been around for two thousand years, but now it's 'New Blue Soap.' Well, we're selling 'New Blue Peace!' ...and we hope some of you buy it!"
 (John Lennon 1969)

 All those years ago
 George Harrison

 (I’m) shouting all about love
While they treated you like a dog
When you were the one who had made it so clear
 All those years ago.

(I’m) talking all about how to give
They don’t act with much honesty
But you point the way to the truth when you say
 All you need is love.

 Living with good and bad
I always look up to you
Now we’re left cold and sad
By someone – the devils best friend
 Someone who offended all.

[We‘(re)] living in a bad dream
 They’ve forgotten all about mankind
And you were the one they backed up to
 The wall
 All those years ago
You were the one who imagined it all
 All those years ago.

 Deep in the darkest night
I send out a prayer to you
Now in the world of light
Where the spirit free of the lies
And all else that we despised.

 They’ve forgotten all about god
He’s the only reason we exist
Yet you were the one that they said was
 So weird
 All those years ago
You said it all though not many had ears
 All those years ago
You had control of our smiles and our tears
 All those years ago

 CAN YOU STILL

            Shots that echo
            through the night;
            haunt across
            the decades.
            Can you still hear
            the scream?
            It still wakes me.

            Scarlet that spills
            on the pavement;
            flows down
            into days.
            Can you still see
            the flood?
            It still drowns me.

            Screams that break
            in the silence;
            fill up
            the dark.
            Can you still listen
            to the cry?
            It still scares me.

            Tears that flow
            down their faces;
            roll on
            through ages.
            Can you still taste
            the drops?
            It still breaks me.

            Loss that lingers
            in all history;
            rips through
            the memory.
            Can you still feel
            the pain?
            It still kills me.

 Empty Garden

 What happened here,
As the New York sunset disappeared?
I found an empty garden among the flagstones there.

 Who lived here?
He must have been a gardener that cared a lot,
Who weeded out the tears and grew a good crop.
And now it all looks strange.

It's funny how one insect can damage so much grain.

 And what's it for,
This little empty garden by the brownstone door?
And in the cracks along the sidewalk nothing grows no more.

 Who lived here?
He must have been a gardener that cared a lot,
Who weeded out the tears and grew a good crop.
 And we are so amazed!

 We're crippled and we're dazed...
A gardener like that one, no one can replace.

And I've been knocking, but no one answers.
And I've been knocking, most all the day.

Oh and I've been calling, oh hey, hey, Johnny!
Can't you come out to play?

 And through their tears,
Some say he farmed his best in younger years.
But he'd have said that roots grow stronger, if only he could hear.

 Who lived there?
He must have been a gardener that cared a lot,
Who weeded out the tears and grew a good crop.
 Now we pray for rain,

And with every drop that falls...
We hear, we hear your name...

And I've been knocking, but no one answers.
And I've been knocking, most all the day.

Oh and I've been calling, oh hey, hey, Johnny!
Can't you come out to play,

And I've been knocking, but no one answers.
And I've been knocking, most all the day.

Oh and I've been calling, oh hey, hey, Johnny!
 Can't you come out
Can't you come out to play,

 Johnny?
Can't you come out to play,
 In your empty garden?
